Bakersfield, CA: Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Ming Avenue

Bakersfield, California (November 21, 2020) – According to a report by the Bakersfield Police Department, a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on a highway in Bakersfield Friday night, November 20.

Officials responded to the deadly crash site at around 7:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of Ming Avenue.

The female pedestrian was struck by a pickup truck while walking on the avenue outside of a marked crosswalk.

The pickup operator remained at the crash site and cooperated with the authorities’ investigation.

Sadly, the unidentified woman was declared dead at the scene.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to be a factor in the wreck. The cause of the accident remains under active investigation.
