Hildeliza Rios Hospitalized after San Fernando Pedestrian Accident at North Maclay Avenue and 8th Street
San Fernando, California (November 20, 2020) – The woman who was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday morning in San Fernando has been identified as Hildeliza Rios, 80, of San Fernando.
The accident was reported to the authorities at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19, at the intersection of North Maclay Avenue and 8th Street.
Rios was reportedly struck by a pickup truck at the San Fernando intersection.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Rios complaining of pain in the back and legs. She was taken to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries.
The driver involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a navy blue Chevrolet crew cab pickup.
Authorities described the hit-and-run motorist as a white male. He was wearing a tan shirt at the time of the accident.
Police are still searching for the driver.
