Emilio Zaragoza Struck and Killed by Vehicle on State Route 94 in Spring Valley
Spring Valley, California (November 19, 2020) – Authorities have released the name of the construction worker who died following a pedestrian accident early Wednesday morning in Spring Valley.
The fatal collision happened on State Route 94 in the morning hours.
41-year-old Emilio Zaragoza was hit by an eastbound 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage while in a construction zone just east of Avocado Boulevard.
The Mitsubishi driver, a 24-year-old El Cajon woman, reportedly drifted into a closed lane before striking Zaragoza.

Sadly, Zaragoza was declared dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the female motorist stopped following the wreck and cooperated with the law.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the mishap. An investigation into the accident is underway.
