Ho Cheong Killed in La Palma Bicycle Accident at Crescent Avenue and Walker Street
Ho Cheong ID’d as Bicyclist Struck and Killed by Truck at Crescent Avenue and Walker Street in La Palma
La Palma, California (November 17, 2020) – The Orange County coroner’s office has identified the bicyclist who died after being struck by a truck Sunday afternoon in La Palma as Ho Cheong, 24, of Cypress.
The deadly bicycle accident happened a little before 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 15 at the intersection of Crescent Avenue and Walker Street.
Authorities said Cheon was riding his bicycle on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by a truck at the La Palma intersection.
Cheong was taken by paramedics to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 2:00 p.m.
Details regarding the truck driver were not immediately provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
