Michael Bonner ID’d as 2-Year-Old Boy Killed in Lake Los Angeles Crash on East Avenue P near 240th Street East

Lake Los Angeles, California (November 17, 2020) – Michael Bonner, 2, of Rosamond, has been identified as the boy who was killed in an alleged DUI crash that left at least three other parties injured on Monday night in Lake Los Angeles, authorities said.
The deadly single-vehicle accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m., on November 16, on East Avenue P east of 240th Street East.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2006 Ford Fusion, driven by Devon Dorsey, 26, of the Kern County, was traveling westbound on Avenue P when it drifted to the right, crashed into a raised dirt embankment, and overturned.
As a result of the crash impact, Bonner was ejected onto the roadway, the officials said.

Bonner was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Shonterra Dillard, 23, suffered moderate injuries, and Mytia Bonner, 3, suffered minor injuries. They are both from Rosamond.
Dillard, Mytia Bonner, and Michael Bonner are related to one another, the CHP said.
Dorsey, who sustained minor injuries, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Dorsey was being held on $100,000 bail.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this collision.
