Joel Jr. Carrillo Killed in Car Accident on Highway 41 near Harlan Avenue in Fresno, Amber Sexton Arrested
Fresno, California (November 16, 2020) – 23-year-old Joel Jr. Carrillo has been identified as the man who was killed in a car crash near Riverdale in Fresno on Tuesday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 41 near Harlan Avenue.
33-year-old Amber Sexton was driving a U-Haul truck southbound on Highway 41 when she drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a blue Honda Civic.
Another vehicle was involved in the accident but the driver was unhurt.
Carrillo was seriously injured in the accident and was flown to a Fresno hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
Sexton was hospitalized for moderate injuries and was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
