Pasadena, California (November 14, 2020) – Alberto Fernandez, 20, of Victorville, has been identified as the suspect who was arrested after a Friday night hit-and-run crash that killed a 64-year-old pedestrian in Pasadena, police said.

The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 9:00 p.m., on November 13, at the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Marengo Avenue.

According to the authorities, a vehicle driven by Fernandez struck the 64-year-old male pedestrian in unclear circumstances.

Alberto Fernandez Arrested after Pasadena Pedestrian Accident 

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was not disclosed.

Fernandez fled the scene and was later arrested in Monrovia by the CHP. He was taken into custody at 12:56 a.m. by the Pasadena Police Department. Fernandez is being held with his bail set at $100,000. 

An investigation into the accident is underway.
