Lakehead, California (November 14, 2020) – Major injuries were reported on November 13 following a pedestrian accident, near the Sacramento River in a wooded area, in Lakehead, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
Officials responded to the major injury crash site at approximately 6:01 a.m., November 13, on Slate Creek Road off-ramp from the Interstate 5 Freeway.
As per the dispatch, a female party was run over by a semi-tractor trailer truck on the interstate’s shoulder in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, the woman was pinned underneath the truck.
Meanwhile, the involved motorist stopped after the wreck and cooperated with the investigation.

The pedestrian was flown to the hospital for treatment of moderate to major injuries. Officials said the patient was listed in critical condition.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
