Turlock, California (November 10, 2020) – According to a report by the Turlock Police Department, an alleged hit-and-run motorcycle collision that happened Sunday evening in Turlock resulted in the death of an 11-year-old girl.

The deadly crash took place just before 5:20 p.m., November 8, at Lander and Linwood Avenues.

A motorcycle heading near the Turlock intersection crashed with a silver Ford SUV whose driver fled the scene.

Officials said the Ford also collided with a red Honda Civic with five occupants, including an 11-year-old girl.

Girl Killed in Turlock Car Accident Sunday Evening

Meanwhile, the rider involved in the first wreck sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The girl died at the hospital while undergoing treatment. Paramedics also transported the other parties to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The Ford operator, 25-year-old Josue Leyva, also escaped the scene after the second accident. He later turned himself to the Turlock Police Department on Monday and was interviewed.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
