Wildomar, CA: Fatal Car Crash on Temecula Valley (15) Freeway
1 Killed in Wildomar Accident on Temecula Valley (15) Freeway near Olive and Grape Streets
Wildomar, California (November 9, 2020) – One person was killed Sunday evening in a single-vehicle traffic collision on Temecula Valley (15) Freeway in Wildomar, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said the deadly crash happened just before 6:10 p.m. Sunday, November 8, in the southbound lane of the Temecula Valley (15) Freeway near the intersection of Olive and Grape streets.
According to Witnesses, a speeding SUV was overtaking vehicles on the left side when it veered off the roadway and crashed down an embankment. The SUV then caught fire.
The SUV was traveling at more than 90 miles per hour prior to the collision.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of family.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
