San Francisco, CA: Caltrans Worker Injured in Traffic Collision on Interstate 280 at Mariposa Street

San Francisco, California (November 5, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a traffic collision that happened Wednesday morning in San Francisco.

The CHP responded to the crash site at about 9:40 a.m. on the Interstate 280 Freeway near Mariposa Street.

As per the report, a Caltrans worker was run over by an Infiniti SUV in unclear circumstances.

Police said the mishap involved a yellow Caltrans pickup truck and a white SUV.

Caltrans Worker Struck and Hurt by Vehicle in San Francisco

Paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the Caltrans worker to an area hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Officials closed down the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the highway for an unknown time.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
