Castro Valley, CA: 2 Hospitalized after 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 238
2 Injured in Castro Valley Accident on Interstate 238 near Redwood Road Off-Ramp

Castro Valley, California (October 29, 2020) – Two people were injured Thursday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Castro Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at about 8:23 a.m. in the southbound lane of Interstate 238 near the Redwood Road off-ramp, just past the Interstate 580 interchange.
The CHP said the crash involved a white SUV, a semi-truck and a white sedan.
There were no details about what led up to the accident, but the authorities said the SUV overturned after the collision.
Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 238 in Castro Valley
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped in the wreckage.
Two occupants of the overturned SUV were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Their names and current condition were not disclosed.
The wreck caused traffic congestion on the transition freeway between Interstates 880 and 580.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
