Edwin Medina-Corona Killed in Motorcycle Crash on East Whitmore Avenue in Hughson

Hughson, Californian (October 28, 2020) – Edwin Medina-Corona, 21, of Waterford, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday evening west of Hughson, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.

The deadly accident happened at about 6:25 p.m., on October 24, on East Whitmore Avenue near Baldwin Road.

According to the police, a 2000 Toyota, driven by Manjit Kaur Samra, 67, of Turlock, was traveling eastbound on Whitmore Avenue when it failed to yield right of way as it turned left onto Baldwin Road.

Unfortunately, Medina-Corona, who was riding westbound on Whitmore Avenue, approaching Baldwin Road, on a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle struck the right rear of the Toyota, the officials said.

As a result of the collision, Medina-Corona was ejected onto the roadway.

Sadly, Medina-Corona was pronounced dead at the scene.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
