1 Killed, Multiple People Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard
Sacramento, California (October 28, 2020) – A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened near Sacramento International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, October 27.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 5 Freeway near Airport Boulevard.
The authorities said a big rig failed to slow down and crashed into stopped traffic on the freeway.
A maroon Chevrolet van, white Kia, and white Ram pickup truck were involved in the accident.
The 40-year-driver of the Kia was transported to an area hospital where they died while undergoing treatment.
Multiple people remained hospitalized.
