El Sereno, California (October 25, 2020) – The elderly man who was struck and seriously injured by an alleged hit-and-run driver at an intersection in El Sereno, Thursday evening, has been identified as 75-year-old Guillermo Cartagena.
The major injury pedestrian accident took place at about 6:00 p.m. October 22, in the area of Alhambra and Bullard avenues.
Cartagena was struck by a 2000-2010 white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, with washing equipment in the back, while attempting to cross the street in the afternoon hours.
Meanwhile, the involved motorists, a man in his 30s or 40s, stopped for a while and then escaped the crash site.

Cartagena was hospitalized with critical injuries after the wreck.
