Pedestrian Hospitalized after Victorville Accident on Mojave Drive near Condor Road

Victorville, California (October 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on Friday night in Victorville, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 6:30 p.m., on October 23, in the eastbound lanes of Mojave Drive near Condor Road.
According to the police, the pedestrian was struck by a 2003 Honda Accord in unclear circumstances.
The crash impact caused the pedestrian to be thrown into the air, the officials said.

First responders arrived at the scene and performed CPR on the victim. The pedestrian was taken to Victor Valley Global Medical Center and later airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
The police located the involved vehicle in the nearby parking lot of the Circle K gas station with damage to the passenger side windshield. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
