Byron, CA: Fatal Big Rig Accident on Byron Highway
1 Killed in Byron Accident on Byron Highway near Holey Road
Byron, California (October 22, 2020) – One person was killed in a big rig accident on Thursday morning in Byron, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 6:25 a.m. Byron Highway near Holey Road just east of the Byron Airport.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a big rig collided with a vehicle on the highway in unclear circumstances.
Following the collision, the big rig flipped over, spilled aluminum rolls, and was leaking fuel, the officials said.

One person sustained fatal injuries in the accident. It was not clear if the victim was in the big rig or the vehicle.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
