55-Year-Old Los Osos Man Killed in San Luis Obispo Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near San Luis Obispo

San Luis Obispo, California (October 16, 2020) – A 55-year-old Los Osos man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning in San Luis Obispo, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly pedestrian accident transpired at about 4:40 a.m., on October 15, Highway 101, just south of Madonna Road.
The Los Osos was running across the southbound lanes from the center divider to the side of the highway when a 2012 Honda traveling at about 65 to 70 mph struck him, the CHP said.
As per the official’s report, the man was thrown onto the windshield and fell off the car.

Sadly, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver, a 49-year-old San Luis Obispo woman, was not injured in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
