Woman Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Imperial Avenue near Viewcrest Drive
San Diego, California (October 9, 2020) – A 29-year-old woman died after being hit by a car in San Diego on Thursday night.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at about 8:09 p.m. in the 7200 block of Imperial Avenue near Viewcrest Drive.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the woman was walking southbound across Imperial Avenue when she was struck by a westbound 2005 Mercedes sedan, driven by a 52-year-old woman.
The pedestrian died at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
