David Mangin Suffers Major Injuries in Carlotta Car Accident on State Route 36 near Riverside Park Drive
Carlotta, California (October 7, 2020) – David Mangin, 59, of Fortuna, was seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash east of Carlotta in Humboldt County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The major-injury collision happened at around 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, on State Route 36, just east of Riverside Park Drive.
As per the CHP report, Mangin was driving a 2016 Dodge Ram flatbed tow truck eastbound on State Route 36 when, for an unknown reason, the tow truck veered off the north side of the roadway and struck a large tree.
Mangin sustained major injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
