Shafter Car Accident on Orange Street at Poplar Avenue Left 2 Dead
Shafter, California (October 5, 2020) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles in Shafter, Monday afternoon, left two victims dead.
The fatal crash was reported at about 4:00 p.m. on Orange Street at Poplar Avenue.
The accident involved a Chevy Impala that was traveling at a high speed and an Infiniti sedan.
The Chevy Impala reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign and broadsided the Infiniti.

A person riding in the Infiniti and its driver were pronounced dead at the scene.
Paramedics transported four other victims to Kern Medical for treatment of minor to major injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were believed to be a factor in the mishap.
The accident remains under active investigation.
