Man Killed in Fiery Car Accident on Highway 4 near Pine Street
Pinole, California (October 5, 2020) – A man was killed in a fiery car accident near Pinole, Contra Costa, on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 3:04 a.m. on Highway 4 near the Pine Street/Center Avenue exit.
A 2003 Chevrolet Silverado reportedly drifted off the north side of the highway and landed on Arnold Drive.
The truck crashed through a fence and caught fire.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was killed in the accident.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office did not disclose the identity of the deceased pending notification of the next of kin.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
