76-Year-Old Man Injured in Aptos Car Accident on Highway 1 near State Park Drive
Aptos, California (October 1, 2020) – A 76-year-old Moss Landing man was killed in a car accident on Wednesday afternoon in Aptos, authorities said.
At about 1:15 p.m., on September 30, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly single-vehicle accident on Highway 1 near State Park Drive.
The CHP said the man was traveling northbound on the highway in his 2017 Lexus RX330 when the accident occurred.
The Lexus overturned and crashed into trees trapping the driver, according to the officials.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated the victim from the vehicle.

The Moss Landing man sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
