Timothy McTague, Sr. ID’d as Man Killed in Humboldt Car Accident on Herrick Avenue

Humboldt, California (September 30, 2020) – Timothy McTague, Sr., 61, of Eureka, has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic accident on Wednesday morning in Humboldt, according to the Humboldt County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on Herrick Avenue, east of Pinecrest Court.
According to the CHP, McTague was driving his Jeep Cherokee eastbound on Herrick Avenue at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he allowed his vehicle to travel off the south roadway edge and into the driveway of 320 Herrick Avenue.
The Jeep reportedly crashed into a parked Dodge Ram pickup and a trailer.
The force of the impact pushed the trailer through a fence and partially into the backyard of the residence, the officials said.

McTague was pronounced dead at the scene.
