Clovis, CA: Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Ashlan Avenue

Clovis, California (September 27, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle while he was pushing a bicycle along a street in Clovis early Sunday morning, according to a police report.

The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at around 12:57 a.m. on Ashlan Avenue near Willow Avenue.

As per the report, the pedestrian, a 55-year-old man, was walking his bicycle along the Clovis street when he was struck by a vehicle.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the man unresponsive following the accident.  He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police determined that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.

The identity of the deceased person has not been diclosed pending notification of family.

No further details about the accident were immediately provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
