30-Year-Old Sacramento Man Killed in Rio Linda Motorcycle Accident at West Elkhorn Boulevard and West 2nd Street

Rio Linda, California (September 26, 2020) – A 30-year-old Sacramento man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Friday night in Rio Linda, the authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 9:00 p.m., on September 25, at the intersection of West Elkhorn Boulevard and West 2nd Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 38-year-old man from Lodi, collided with a black Yamaha R6 motorcycle, operated by the Sacramento man, that was traveling westbound on West Elkhorn Boulevard.
The Impala was driving eastbound on West Elkhorn Boulevard and began to turn left to travel northbound on West 2nd Street. As the Impala was turning left, the westbound motorcycle crashed into its right side, the officials said.
Following the collision, the rider was ejected onto the roadway.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The condition of the other driver was not disclosed.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
