Bakersfield, California (September 23, 2020) – 51-year-old Jack Christopher Shipley, of Bakersfield, has been identified as the motorcyclist who died following a traffic collision in northeast Bakersfield Sunday night, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The fatal motorcycle accident happened at around 8:15 p.m., on September 20, along China Grade Loop, just north of Alfred Harrell Highway.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, Shipley reportedly crashed with an SUV along the highway in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, Shipley died in the accident.

Details regarding the driver of the involved vehicle were not immediately established at the time of the report.

The fatal accident remains under an active investigation by the CHP.
