1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 65 at Riosa Road in Lincoln

Lincoln, California (September 22, 2020) – A Roseville man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision that happened near Lincoln, Placer County, on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 10:15 p.m. on Highway 65 at Riosa Road.
A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on the roadway when it ran a red light at the intersection and collided with a 2006 Jeep and a 2017 Jeep that were making left turns from southbound Highway 65 onto westbound Riosa Road.
The impact of the crash sent the pickup truck off the roadway where it crashed into a traffic pole
A 24-year-old Roseville man who was driving the Silverado was pronounced dead at the scene by the Placer County Coroner’s Office.
Two occupants in the Jeep suffered minor injuries while two others in the Ford also suffered minor injuries but declined medical aid.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
