Fresno, California (September 18, 2020) – One person was injured early Friday morning in a traffic accident in West Central Fresno, according to a local news source.

The crash occurred at about 2:00 a.m. Friday, September 18, on Blythe Avenue near Belmont Avenue.

As per the report, a Ford Mustang was traveling on Blythe Avenue when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and onto the left shoulder.

The Mustang then sideswiped a PG&E utility pole.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the driver, who was pinned inside the wreckage. The victim was then taken to Community Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

No other details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
