San Jose, California (September 15, 2020) – A 22-year-old man from San Jose was killed in a big rig accident on Tuesday morning in San Jose, authorities said.

The deadly accident transpired at about 1:17 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, south of Tully Road.

According to the police, a 2017 Honda Accord, driven by the 22-year-old man, rear-ended a big-rig driven by a 40-year-old Hollister man on the highway.

Sadly, the San Jose man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The big rig driver was not injured in the accident.

Traffic on the highway was stopped due to the accident. As of 3:00 a.m., the roadway was reopened.
