Authorities ID’d Woman Killed in Hemet Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 Near 4th Street as Monica Garcia
Hemet, California (September 12, 2020) – 56-year-old Monica Garcia, of Hemet, has been identified as the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night in Hemet, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office reported.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened along Highway 74, just west of 4th Street, at approximately 8:10 p.m. September 9.
Garcia was attempting to cross the highway on the westbound side of the four-lane corridor when a Toyota Tundra hit her in unclear circumstances.
The initial report indicated that Garcia was walking to a convenience store prior to the collision.
The Toyota motorist, a female party, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Sadly, Garcia died in the accident.
More details regarding the accident will be released immediately after the California Highway Patrol completes the investigation.
