Keystone, California (September 10, 2020) – 68-year-old Phillip Allen Luckert, of Modesto, has been identified as the victim who died following a motorcycle accident in the area of Keystone Saturday afternoon, a local news source reported.

On September 5, at around noon, officers received a crash report involving a motorcycle and a car on Highway 108/120 between Rushing Hill Lookout and Green Springs roads.

The accident happened when Luckert, who was riding a 1999 Harley Davidson motorcycle, east on the highway, stopped along the roadway to help a broken down motorbike.

A 2012 Kenworth Big Rig, driven by 63-year-old Erik Roen, then hit Luckert from the back after he finished assisting the other motorcyclist.

Phillip Luckert Fatal Keystone Motorcycle Accident 

Luckert was pronounced dead at the crash site.

Roen, a Knights Ferry resident, was not injured in the wreck.

The fatal accident remains under investigation.
