Mission Valley, California (September 9, 2020) – A male pedestrian was struck and killed by three vehicles in Mission Valley late Monday night, a local news source reported.
The fatal pedestrian accident took place on Interstate 8 near Fairmont Avenue at about 10:15 p.m.
Officials said the man was struck by three automobiles while walking along the intersection in unclear circumstances.
Meanwhile, one of the involved motorists initially told the officials that he believed he hit a dog.
The California Highway Patrol affirmed all involved motorists remained at the scene after the crash.

Meanwhile, the wreck resulted in the closure of several lanes of west I-8 and the transition from northbound I-15 to westbound I-8 up to around 1:30 a.m.
