6 Injured in Temecula Car Crash on Interstate 15 near Rancho California Road

Temecula, California (September 5, 2020) – Six people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday morning in Temecula, authorities said.
At about 4:10 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the accident on Interstate 15 near Rancho California Road.
The CHP said a Toyota Sienna minivan collided with a Honda Accord on southbound Interstate 15. The manner at which the crash occurred is yet to be established.
Following the collision, the two vehicles went down an embankment, and one of the vehicles was split in half, the officials said.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated at least one person from the wreckage.

A total of ten persons were involved in the accident. Three sustained moderate and were taken to a hospital while three others suffered minor injuries and declined hospitalization.
The other four were not injured.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
