Anthony Lopez and Ronnie Anderson Hospitalized After San Bernardino Car Collision at Sierra Way and Highland Avenue

San Bernardino, California (September 3, 2020) – 26-year-old Anthony Lopez and 26-year-old Ronnie Anderson, both of San Bernardino, has been identified as the two victims who were hospitalized after being involved in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in San Bernardino.
At approximately 2:44 a.m., August 30, authorities responded to the fatal accident in the area of Sierra Way and Highland Avenue.
The mishap happened when a Kia Forte operated by 27-year-old Michael Moore Jr. east on Highland, approaching the intersection with Sierra Way, drove into a Honda Passport path driven by Lopez south on Sierra Way approaching the intersection with Highland Avenue.
The Honda then broadsided the Kia in the process.
One of the involved drivers reportedly failed to stop for the red traffic signal controlling the intersection at the time of the crash.

Moore, of Victorville, was pronounced deceased at the scene while his passenger, Anderson, was rushed to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Lopez was hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in the mishap.
Speed and alcohol were believed to have played a role in the wreck.
