Miguel Guzman Arrested After Fatal Huntington Beach DUI Crash at Springdale and McFadden
San Diego, California (August 25, 2020) – 25-year-old Lance Jones, of Moreno Valley, has been identified as the man who died following a suspected DUI single-car crash Sunday at an intersection in Huntington Beach, the Orange County Coroner’s Office reported.
The fatal accident took place at the intersection of Springdale Street and McFadden Avenue on August 23.
Officials said a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Miguel Guzman, of Riverside, slammed into the Huntington Beach intersection for unknown reasons.
Due to the impact, Guzman and his passenger Jones were trapped inside the car.
Both victims were rescued by fire department officials who arrived at the scene shortly after the wreck.

Jones died at UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was admitted after the mishap.
Guzman, who was intoxicated at the time of the collision, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police later arrested Guzman on suspicion of DUI.
