Venice, CA: Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Venice Boulevard On-Ramp
1 Killed in Venice Car Accident on Venice Boulevard On-Ramp To San Diego (405) Freeway
Venice, California (August 25, 2020) – One person was killed Monday morning in a traffic accident in Venice, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash was first reported to the California Highway Patrol at around 4:52 a.m. Monday, August 24 at the Venice Boulevard on-ramp to the San Diego (405) Freeway.
According to the CHP, a vehicle was traveling on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the road and went over an embankment at the Venice Boulevard on-ramp to the 405 Freeway.
Deadly Crash on Venice Boulevard On-Ramp in Venice
One person was killed in the crash. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of the family.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the onramp as crews worked to clear the crash. As of 11:00 a.m., the ramp was reopened to traffic.
The accident remains under investigation.
