Fresno, California (August 20, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night at an intersection in Central Fresno, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash occurred shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 19, at the intersection of N Maple Avenue and E Dakota Avenue.
As per the report, the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that was heading southbound on Maple Avenue, driven by a woman.
The woman told the authorities that she saw the man sitting on the roadway and was unable to stop or swerve in time.
Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Vehicle in Fresno
The pedestrian, only identified as a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
