Long Beach, CA: 8 Injured in Multi-Car Crash on Interstate 405
8 Hospitalized after Long Beach Car Accident on Interstate 405 near Lakewood Boulevard
Long Beach, California (August 11, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday night multi-vehicle accident that left eight people nursing injuries in Long Beach.
The crash happened at about 11:49 p.m., on August 9, on the southbound Interstate 405, just south of Lakewood Boulevard.
According to the police, a stalled vehicle was struck by another car, causing a chain-reaction involving at least seven vehicles.
One of the vehicles reportedly overturned and landed on the northbound side of the freeway. It was struck by another car.
8 Hurt in Crash on Interstate 405 in Long Beach
At least eight people were transported to a hospital in unknown conditions.
One person was arrested after trying to flee from the scene on foot.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
