Vanessa Espinoza ID’d as Woman Killed in Collision with Fire Engine in Napa

Napa, California (August 11, 2020) – The Napa County Coroner’s Office has disclosed the identity of a woman who died after colliding with a fire truck in Napa in June.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12 p.m. June 30, on Highway 221 at Streblow Drive.
22-year-old Vanessa Monique Espinoza was driving a Toyota Camry and collided with a Cal Fire engine that was responding to a fire in Contra Costa.
The authorities said Espinoza had been traveling northbound on Highway 221 and was attempting to make a left turn at the intersection when the collision occurred.

Espinoza, a resident of Vacaville, was injured in the accident and was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa. She was later transferred to a Solano County hospital where she died on July 5.
