San Diego, CA: Fatal Big Rig Accident on Highway 163
1 Killed in San Diego Big Rig Crash on Highway 163 at Genesee Avenue
San Diego, California (August 5, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon big rig accident that killed one person in San Diego.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 163 at Genesee Avenue.
According to the CHP, a white Nissan Frontier truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer in unclear circumstances.
As a result of the collision, the Nissan got under the big rig.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
