Oceanside, CA: Possible Injuries Reported After Highway 78 Rollover Car Crash

Oceanside, California (August 5, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol said a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Oceanside, Wednesday morning, possibly resulted in injuries.

At around 8:10 a.m. August 5, the CHP responded to the traffic crash on Highway 78, just west of College Boulevard.

The accident involved a black Acura TSX and a black Ford Edge that crashed due to a ladder that was on the highway.

Due to the collision’s impact, the Acura acquired major front-end damage while the Ford Edge rolled over several times.

All involved parties received first aid treatment from medical personnel who responded at the crash site shortly after 8:10 a.m.

Officials requested tow trucks to remove both vehicles away from the scene of the accident.

The highway’s No. 1 lane was shut down for at least 30 minutes as investigation and clean-up took place.

Meanwhile, the CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
