Steven Hamilton Identified as Man Hurt in La Grange ATV Crash at La Grange Off-Highway Vehicle Park

La Grange, California (August 3, 2020) – Steven Hamilton, 37, from Tracy, has been identified as the man who was injured in an ATV accident on Saturday afternoon in La Grange, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 4:10 p.m., on August 1, at La Grange Off-Highway Vehicle Park.
The CHP said a 2006 Yamaha Raptor all-terrain vehicle, driven by Jose Maganabaez, 21, of Contra Costa County, collided with a 2011 Honda Pilot, operated by Hamilton.
Hamilton was traveling westbound on one of the two-lane entrance roads to the park when Maganabaez crossed the double yellow lines in the road and headed eastbound in the westbound lane, the officials said.
Unfortunately, Maganabaez reportedly crashed into the left front side of the Honda. Maganabaez was ejected onto the windshield of the Honda and to the ground. He was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Hamilton suffered a laceration to his arm. His 4-year-old passenger in the rear seat was not hurt in the accident.
Maganabaez sustained fractures, lacerations, and abrasions. He was flown to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
