Male Pedestrian Killed in Oxnard Train Accident on East 4th Street
Oxnard, California (August 1, 2020) – A man was struck and killed by a train on Saturday morning in Oxnard, police said.
At about 3:11 a.m., the authorities responded to the deadly accident near the 200 block of East 4th Street.
The police said the man was struck by a train on the railroads about eight hours earlier. The manner at which the crash occurred is yet to be established.
Fatal Train Accident on East 4th Street in Oxnard
First responders arrived at the scene and tried to save the man. Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Union Pacific railroad personnel told the police that the last train passed the area eight hours ago.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
