Jose Perez Seriously Injured in Tulare County Crash on Avenue 416 and Road 42

Tulare County, California (July 30, 2020) – The man who was seriously injured Wednesday night in a rear-end collision in Tulare County has been identified as Jose Ramon Perez, 47.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, on Avenue 416 and Road 42, just west of Dinuba.
The CHP said Perez was driving his car when he crashed into the back of a semi-truck that was pulling out.
After the impact, the truck rolled over and was spread across all four lanes of the roadway. Another vehicle struck the overturned truck.

Perez sustained major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno.
The drivers of the semi-truck and the second car were uninjured.
Both lanes of Avenue 416 were closed for nearly two hours due to the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
