Javier Barragan Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 39 in Angeles National Forest
Javier Barragan ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Angeles National Forest Crash on Highway 39

Angeles National Forest, California (July 27, 2020) – Authorities have identified the motorcyclist who died in a traffic accident Sunday morning in the Angeles National Forest as Javier Barragan, 25, of Los Angeles.
The fatal crash occurred at around 7:22 a.m. Sunday, July 26 on Highway 39 near mile marker 23.11.
According to the authorities, Barragan was riding a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R southbound on Highway 39 at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, he drifted across into the opposite lane and collided with a Toyota Tacoma that was heading northbound.
Barragan was ejected from the bike upon the impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Toyota driver, a 38-year-old Van Nuys man, was uninjured in the crash.
Highway 39 was closed for nearly three hours due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
