Emeryville, CA: At Least 1 Sustains Major Injuries in 80 Freeway Car Crash
At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Emeryville Car Accident on Eastbound 80 Freeway near Powell Street
Emeryville, California (July 25, 2020) – Authorities said at least one person suffered major injuries in a rollover crash that happened Friday morning on 80 Freeway in Emeryville.
According to a California Highway Patrol log, two vehicles crashed at about 6:47 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the freeway just west of Powell Street.
Responding emergency crews found a Nissan Pathfinder and a GMC Yukon involved in the accident. One of the vehicles flipped onto its side after the first impact.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to assist at least one person who sustained severe injuries.
Authorities blocked the Nos. 1, 2, and 3 lanes as they worked the scene.
The cause of the crash was not mentioned in the report, but an investigation is ongoing.
