Pilot Killed in Tehachapi Plane Crash on N. Green Street near Tehachapi Municipal Airport
Tehachapi, California (July 24, 2020) – A pilot was killed when a plane crashed Friday morning in Tehachapi, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened in the 421 block of N. Green Street, just outside the Tehachapi Municipal Airport.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a small Cessna plane crashed into a building on N. Green Street under unknown circumstances.
The pilot died in the crash. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of family.
There were no reports of people injured or killed in the building or surrounding businesses.
The area was blocked off for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
