Marina Maher Seriously Injured in 4-Vehicle Crash on Silverado Trail in Napa
Marina Maher ID’d as Person Injured in Napa Car Crash on Silverado Trail near Oak Knoll Avenue

Napa, California (July 24, 2020) – Marina Maher, 19, of Napa, has been identified as the victim who was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon in Napa, authorities said.
At about 3:30 p.m., on July 23, the California Highway Patrol responded to the major injury crash on Silverado Trail, north of Oak Knoll Avenue.
The CHP said a van, driven by Francisco Garcia, 45, of Napa, was traveling southbound on the roadway when, for unknown reasons, it veered into the pathway of a northbound BMW, driven by Maher.
Maher swerved onto the shoulder to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, Maher lost control of her vehicle, which rotated into the southbound lane into the pathway of a pickup truck, driven by Arnoldo Villegas, 40, of Fairfield, the officials said.
Villegas was reportedly slowing to avoid a collision when Maher struck the front of his car.
As a result of the collision, Villegas’s pickup truck was pushed back into a car, driven by Ismael Caro, 59, of Vallejo, who was attempting to stop, the CHP said.
Marina Maher Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Silverado Trail in Napa
Maher sustained major injuries and was transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having contributed to the mishap.
Traffic on Silverado Trail between Oak Knoll Avenue and Yountville Cross Road was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
