Humboldt County, California (July 10, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances that led to the collision of multiple vehicles Thursday afternoon in Humboldt County.
The major injury crash happened at about 5:12 p.m. along Highway 101 near the Indianola Cutoff.
As per the report, multiple vehicles, around four to five, crashed in the highway’s northbound lanes for reasons still under investigation.

The wreck resulted in major injuries to one unidentified person. The patient was attended to by medical personnel and then transported to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated left shoulder.
Officials also termed some injuries suffered as head contusion and complaint of neck pain.
One of the motorists involved reportedly fled the scene after the mishap.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes of the freeway for an unknown time.
The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
